Jauja Cocina Mexicana Book Presentation, Tortillas Workshop and Meet and Greet

JAUJA Cocina Mexicana is currently one of the most beloved YouTube channels with 8 million users worldwide. Created by Austin, Texas-based couple Janet Kushner and Jack Kushner, the charming cook and cameraman who have been sharing their love for traditional Mexican food since 2014.

In addition to the ongoing success of their channel, last November the couple published their debut book Vamonos a la Estufa with Larousse Cocina featuring 70 delicious recipes that showcase the diversity of Mexican food. Join us to welcome them for the first time in Washington, DC this April 28-29.

Join YouTube star Janet Kushner to learn how to make tortillas from scratch with Masienda Heirloom Masa Harina and their wonderful tortilla press. In this workshop, everybody gets their hands dirty making corn tortillas by hand. It's a super fun and relaxed class, suitable for everyone. We'll finish off the morning by trying the tortillas we made with some salsa of La Fundidora.
