Saturday: 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Sunday: Closed
The Mexican Cultural Institute of the Embassy of Mexico is open to the public for free with no need to RSVP tickets (you just need to buzz our front doorbell upon arrival).
Please note that our institute will be CLOSED to observe the following Holidays and other events during 2026:
- January 17-19: Martin Luther King Day Weekend
- February 14-16: President’s Day Weekend
- April 2-5: Easter Weekend
- May 23-25: Memorial Day Weekend
- June 11
- June 19-21: Juneteenth Weekend
- July 3-5: Independence Day Weekend
- August 16-31: Summer Break
- September 7: Labor Day
- September 15-16: Mexican Independence Day
- October 10-12: Indigenous Peoples’ Day Weekend
- November 11: Veterans Day

TOURS
Please note: Tours of the Institute are only available for groups of 8 or more people and organizations upon request. For small parties, a reservation is not required and the MCI is open for a self-guided tour in the regular hours of operation. Tours are free though we do accept donations for the program. These visits cover the history of the 100-year-old mansion that houses the Institute and an explanation of its renowned murals. Extra time should be allotted for a self-guided visit of our temporary exhibits, which are not covered in the tour.
Tour hours are from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- The first morning tour starts at 10:00 AM, the last morning tour starts at 12:00 PM
- The first afternoon tour starts at 3:00 PM, the last afternoon tour starts at 5:00 PM
Tours last one hour, please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled time of your tour. Tours that begin late will not extend past their allotted time.
