"Agave Spirits" Author Book Talk

Join the Mexican Cultural Institute for an engaging conversation with acclaimed ethnobotanist Gary Paul Nabhan and pioneering restauranteur David Suro Piñera, co-authors of Agave Spirits: The Past, Present, and Future of Mezcals.

Drawing from years of research and firsthand experience, the authors will explore the rich history, cultural significance, biodiversity, and evolving future of mezcal and other agave spirits. Their conversation will examine the deep connections between agave cultivation, traditional knowledge, environmental stewardship, and the communities that have safeguarded these traditions for generations.

Following the panel discussion, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the authors. The evening will conclude with a book sale and signing, offering attendees the chance to meet the authors and have their copies personally signed.
