Caña Dulce y Caña Brava: Introducing the Son Jarocho Movement

We invite you to be part of the interactive concert that Caña Dulce y Caña Brava will give at the Mexican Cultural Institute on May 16 at 6:30pm. This successful group made up mostly of women is famous for its performances of son jarocho, a traditional Mexican expression blend of music, dance and poetry.

Since 2007, their innovative approach to traditional Mexican music has earned them global recognition, with performances in the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. They have collaborated with artists such as Lila Downs, Jorge Drexler and La Santa Cecilia.
