{"id":4439,"date":"2021-04-07T21:24:36","date_gmt":"2021-04-07T21:24:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/instituteofmexicodc.org\/?page_id=4439"},"modified":"2021-04-07T21:40:18","modified_gmt":"2021-04-07T21:40:18","slug":"the-kimberly-collection-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/instituteofmexicodc.org\/index.php\/the-kimberly-collection-2\/","title":{"rendered":"The Kimberly Collection"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"aa_embed\" style=\"clear: both;\">\n<p>Th<strong>e Kimberly Collection<\/strong>\u00a0was donated to the Mexican Cultural Institute in 1994 by Mr. William Kimberly and Mrs. Elena Guajardo de Kimberly for the viewing and appreciation of the public in the Washington, D.C. area.<\/p>\n<p>A fitting representation of modern Mexican art, it contains more than 100 works by visual artists who broke with the school of Mexican muralism pioneered by the likes of Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and Jos\u00e9 Clemente Orozco.
