Exhibit | Diálogo y Creación en las Américas (Dialogue and Creation in the Americas )

Welcome to Dialogue and Creation in the Americas, an exhibit that features a diverse selection of 52 pieces from 28 Member States, presented in collaboration with the Permanent Missions to the OAS, the Art of the Americas Museum and the Mexican Cultural Institute.

This exhibition aims to foster an intercultural and regional dialogue that depicts our diversity and artistic richness through the exploration of universal themes such as human nature, identity, collective memory, and plastic experimentation. This exhibition aspires to set a venue for artistic encounter which highlights the techniques and methods that express the perspectives and styles of the inter-American creative processes.

It also offers an introspective on the richness and complexity of hemispheric reality and its connections with the rest of the world. Visual arts, particularly painting, are a form of expression that allows exploring different visions of artistic production. Dialogue and creation, tradition and renewal, hemisphere and memory, identity, change and encounter, are the discursive axes of the museographic message that is conveyed in the exhibit halls.

Dialogue and Creation in the Americas invites us to appreciate and cherish the diversity and cultural richness of our region, as well as the role arts play as a central element of social cohesion and hemispheric understanding. We hope this experience is enjoyable and will allow you to find a source of dialogue, encounter and mutual recognition through the work that is displayed.
