Kings of Nowhere
(Betzabé García, 2015) is one of the most critically acclaimed Mexican films of the last decade. It depicts the story of a town in Sinaloa, Mexico, which after the flood caused by a broken dam, is only inhabited by three families, fighting for survival. Amidst an eerie ambiance, each family remains faithful to their everyday life, challenging the shadow of non-existence: a lesson of resilience and hope, at a time. Watch the film, presented within the cycle Films Across Borders, from 16-22 November!
